Amy Barker, LPC, CPCS

Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been working in the field of mental health for over twenty years. She has been in private practice and on the public side of the mental health profession. Amy specializes in the areas of addiction, marriage and family, women's issues, depression, and anxiety. Amy has also worked extensively with adolescents and teenagers.
Not only does Amy enjoy working in the room with clients, but she also focuses on supervising new counselors, as a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS). Amy is also an educator. Having previously worked with University of Phoenix and Kaplan University, she is currently instructing at Grand Canyon University, where she is afforded the exceptional opportunity to guide students through their practicum/internship courses. The unique combination of running a mental health practice, instructing at a university, and supervising counselors who are getting their own start, constantly sharpens her own clinical skills and revives her passion for the field.
Gurpreet Ahluwalia, MD
Dr. Ahluwalia focuses on the treatment of children and adolescents; however, he also serves the adult population. He has been well-known as a leader in the field of psychiatry since 1993, working in institutions such as inpatient hospitals, prisons, and private practices. Dr. Ahluwalia is certified by the Board of Psychiatry and he is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Claudia Glassman, LMFT, RPT
Claudia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist. Claudia is also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, a Florida approved supervisor, and an AAMFT supervisor candidate. Claudia has been providing therapy for children and their families since 2004.
Claudia specializes in play therapy and works with children and families facing a variety of issues including, anxiety, trauma, and challenges coping with life changes. Claudia also has a passion for working with parents to assist them in navigating the challenges of parenting, and to help them find confidence and joy in the parenting journey.
Janice Duncan, LPC
Janice provides diagnoses, therapy and treatment to clients with mental health disorders. She has over a decade of experience in both traditional and online college environments in the Criminal Justice and Behavioral Analysis disciplines. Janice has taught a myriad of courses in Criminal justice and behavioral health, to include courses such as Psychopharmacology and Ethics in Criminal Justice. Many of her current and former clients not only have mental health disorders but criminal histories and addictions to illegal substances. She became a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC) in 2018. Janice received her Associate Professional Licensure in 2018 and she now holds full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the State of Georgia. She also currently sits on the Board of Directors to Messepp Community, a Holistic Approach to Counseling and Therapy.
Janice became a Criminal Justice Instructor in 2007 and she has worked in higher education since that time. She became an adjunct instructor in 2007 and transitioned into a full time Criminal Justice Program Coordinator position in January 2008. Her professional experience includes 10+ years in law enforcement as a state probation officer, 2 years as program administrator for a house arrest agency monitoring parolees, 10+ years working with juveniles in the system, 15 years as a subject matter expert with the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute and a myriad of positions with several colleges and universities in curriculum development. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Tuskegee University and continued my education at Clark Atlanta University where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Administration in 1998. After several years of working in law enforcement and higher education, Janice returned to school and earned a Master of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavioral Analysis in 2012. As an educator, former law enforcement officer, Janice experienced a tremendous number of incidents and situations that were dangerous and yet gave her confirmation that she had selected to right fields of study.
In her current position as Clinical Therapist, she provides individual and family therapy to adults and juveniles with various mental health disorders. Janice is also well versed in several counseling techniques and has a compassionate, approachable demeanor. Her counseling skills are well above par and she is also organized with an attention to detail. Janice has a history of completing Bio-psychosocial assessments and Updated Assessments and treatment plans to ensure that clients receive the appropriate treatment and services. My experience and education brings a unique view to the standards of ethical conduct required for an individual entering this field. It is also her goal to provide individuals with tools necessary to lead productive lives.
Mark Bowman, Ph.D, LPC
Dr. Mark Bowman is both a pastor and a therapist. He has worked in the field of Mental Health / Substance Abuse for over forty-five years. He has been trained in eclectic Mental Health professional settings; directed in-patient psychiatric hospital programs; served as the Program Director for four hospital in-patient programs; provided individual and group therapies in an outpatient private practice setting; provided individual and group therapy for an I.O.P: Intensive Outpatient Program; conducted Case Management of clientele; and taught didactic psychoeducational groups. He served as a Chaplain in large Hospitals in Atlanta and Memphis, served as a Chaplain for a nursing home / elder care facility, served as a Counselor / Pastor for the Biblical Counseling Ministry of a Mega-church in Memphis, and taught didactically while leading psychoeducational support groups. He has taught College level classes. He has made multiple trips to the Danai’/ Navajo Indian reservation in New Mexico and taught S.U.D.: Substance Abuse Classes. He served as a Chaplin / Clinician with the TN Disaster Strike Team in providing mental health debriefings.
Dr. Mark Bowman has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1993. He has served as a therapist while serving as a Program Director of Four In-Patient Psychiatric Settings. Dr. Mark Bowman is faith based and is pastoral in his counsel and perspective. He will encourage you in developing or in enhancing your relationship with God. Seeking and asking for help is a large step in getting on the correct path. God's Word tells us that "the mind of a person plans their way, but it is He who directs our footsteps."
Your initial appointment is a time to see if the therapist and the client connect. This initial meeting will assist him in gaining an understanding of you, your challenges, what you seek to change, and the problems you seek to address. Dr. Mark Bowman is trauma focused and trained. He will point out any faulty thinking, provide feedback, and come alongside you in reaching your God given potential. He does ask permission from you to pray and ask your permission to share God's Word with you as it pertains to the issue you are having.

Shirley Shani Ben-Zvi, CT®, MA, AMFT
Shirley holds a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from Northcentral University, with a specialty in Medical Family Therapy. She also holds a certification in Thanatology (CT®) from the Association for Death Education and Counseling. Lastly, she is a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programing (NLP).
Shirley believes that even if things are not okay, we can be. She believes that we can all be the best version of ourselves, under any circumstances. Shirley sees all her clients as superheroes, no less. However, every superhero has a sidekick to bring their strengths into the light – and she is honored to be yours. Shirley works with individuals, couples, and families integrating grief, be it following the death of a loved one, or non-death losses. She also specializes in suicide prevention, and in working with families who manage family members’ suicide ideation or who lost someone to suicide.
Shirley is able to provide services in Hebrew we well as in English, online or in person.
Jessica Obenschain, LMSW
Jessica takes a mindful, person-centered strengths-based approach to therapy. She believes in fostering a therapeutic relationship based on radical acceptance, trust, and meeting her clients where they are to create a connected partnership. Holding an empathetic safe space in which every client can process uniquely is of great importance to her. Jessica practices using an eclectic approach and relies on many evidence-based psychotherapy techniques. Her work is trauma informed and she specializes in providing focused therapy sessions with adults, adolescents, couples, and families.
Jessica is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Social Work, and earned a Bachelor of Science in History with a Minor in Professional Writing from Kennesaw State University.
